"The Criminal Justice System - Keep it Public" - Napo and POA motion passed at Trade Union Co-ordinating Group Convention
On Saturday, a Napo delegation attended the Trade Union Co-Ordinating Group (TUCG) Delegate Convention 2010.
Moving the Napo motion, General Secretary Jonathan Ledger outlined the threat of privatisation to the Probation and Prison Services. He spoke of the Napo campaign against waste and bureaucracy and the success of the recent campaign against the cuts.
At the convention, delegates from all eight Unions within the TUCG heard motions from their respective Unions. Throughout the day there was a great will from delegates to co-ordinating campaigning across the movement.
The convention was aptly held at the PCS Buildings in Clapham Junction, the weekend before the strike of members within PCS. This offered members of all unions in the TUCG the chance to send messages of support and solidarity.
The resolutions passed at the convention can be found below.
