Lord Carter (of Coles) is Jack Straw's bestest mate and was his best man at both his weddings. I can just imagine his best man's speech: " So Strawsy and me are down the pub, legless, this is hilarious, wait til you here this, we're down the pub and we come up with this NOMS idea where the criminal justice system runs like a retail chain (which I like) and panders to every wish of the tabloids (which he likes). Brilliant, oh how we laughed." |

I can think of a few peers I would like to burn down......Lord Carter, obviously (both of them,) Lord Archer, Lady B***DY Thatcher as well as all the hereditary lot and anyone else who has been "lorded" or whatever it is, for their services to sport, entertainment, banking (especially banking)and anything else which does not actually contrbute to the public good (David Attenborough excluded). |

Now now Dave. Lord Carter of Coles was elevated to the Upper House for his services to croneyism sport. |

A staunch mate of Blair the warmonger, who was up the arse of President Bush. The same Carter responsible for NOMS, end-to-end management and creating the machinery that soaked up all of the £40,000,000 of the probation budget. Well it appears that he is at it again but now elevated to the House of Lords (Touch your forelocks) As well as being the protagonist of putting the Probation Service to rights, it now appears that he is the gospel writer for Digital Audio (DAB) and wants to make millions of FM radios defunct. He also wishes the BBC licence fee to be shared with broadcasters in the private sector. Are there no bounds to this man’s talents? Make broadcasting like NOMS. He has already rubber ducked our service. Who has let this maniac out of the asylum? Is he a Serious Further offence? |
