over 75 miles in our area and its a hire car ... thought that was standard. And only then if its absolutely essential and you can justify why your going ... no way am I going to do a parole report on someone I haven't even met face to face when the likelihood is it will go to oral hearing and I will ripped to shreds by the brief!! |

Justa, its both, you tell the omu when you want to meet, the OS should arrange for the people in prison to be there (programmes, psych, health? etc) you might want to get it confirmed that they'll be there, colleagues have turned expecting half a dozen people and its been them and the os which is frankly poor form if you've driven 100 miles I did a couple before getting off the coal face, but it was all new and they were in the wrong prisons for the programmes, so just me and the os |

Can someone tell me who is responsible for arranging Sentence Planning Meetings? It is split in our office, one half saying Prison should make contact, the other stating that it is our responsibility. |
