Given that prisons elsewhere are wholly unable to prevent the spread of drugs, I doubt banning cigarettes would accomplish much. That said, mandatory drug tests are actually the main reason several of my clientele switched from cannabis to heroin, since cannabis stays in the system longer... Sometimes I despair. |

Maybe ok with a prison population of 60, but try that with 80,000 and you might just as well say lets ban heroin,alcohol and mobile phones! Still the video of the riots would make great viewing, not to mention the inflationary effect on prison currency exchange rates. On the plus side a cynic may say, far easier way for screws to make a few bob, not that I would suggest any such unscrupulousness. |
