I would like to get in touch with those of you who share our view that rather than ‘prison works’, freedom works.

We are developing an exciting project for practitioners who are working to try and keep people out of the criminal justice system by addressing their needs. The project is about exchanging knowledge and ideas; it’s about the practitioner view and experience and it is about highlighting and promoting innovative practice across the board.
We are developing a dynamic site with a wide range of resources, links and information to projects and opportunities to network across sectors and organisations.

Before we get to the final stages of the project I want to get in touch with as many practitioners as possible. Mainly, I am after your experiences, thoughts and ideas.

First, I’d like to know, where practitioners find information and where practice issues are discussed (or not).

Second, how do you network with other practitioners and share your experiences and/or raise concerns?

Third, do you feel that you would like to have the opportunity to share your views, practice issues and information about your work with others who may not necessarily work in probation?

This is a chance to shape a new project from its earliest stages, and to develop a resource that will be useful to you and other practitioners, so I hope you will take the time to give me your thoughts on this.

Feel free to contact me: sunita.patel@kcl.ac.uk and I can tell you more about our project and how you can get involved.
