TUC bitesize learning for Trade Union Reps

Please remember to inform your local ULR or a member of the ULF Project Team if you undertake any of these courses.

A new series of informative online briefings for union reps is now available.

Paternity Rights e-note

The first looks at recent changes to paternity rights legislation. This briefing looks at the new rights fathers and partners (including same - sex partners) to take additional paternity leave and pay so that a couple can share the care of their baby.

Sick Note e-note

This e-note is a step by step guide to the Statement of Fitness for Work or as it is more commonly known - the 'Fit Note'. Jointly developed by TUC policy experts and TUC Education tutors the module includes short videos, quizzes and a worked example of the sick note in practice.

The Sick Note e-note:

looks at the main areas of the sick note and how potential issues affect union representatives

applies the sick note to real life situations that union reps may encounter

The e-notes can be used in a class-room based environment to enable dissemination of the information to a large group of people, such as staff groups, Staff representatives and local Branch Executive members.
