What membership types are available?

Full: This is available to all staff working or seeking work in the Probation Service, CAFCASS or specially designated employers. More information available here.

Associate: Associate members shall be anyone not eligible for Full Napo membership who are sympathetic towards Napo's aims and objectives. There is a special subscription rate for retired members who become associates. More information available here.

Professional Associate: This type of membership is open to people who are not eligible for Full membership, but work in a related field such as social service in Scotland or YOTs. More information available here.

All members are entitled to additional benefits such as free will writing, reduced price conveyancing, legal action following a road traffic accident, etc... More information on these benefits can be found on the benefits information page.

How much is membership?

The rates for membership differ depending on what type of memberhsip you apply for. For Full and Professional Associate Membership fees are commensurate with your salary, whereas Associate Membership is a flat fee of £40 per year with a special rate for retired members of £15 per year of £50 for life.

There is also a special introductory offer for Probation staff earning up to point 39 on the salary scale who have not been a member before. For details of the offer and for a full list of subscription rates click here.
