Election results for Napo Officers and NEC Black Representatives

The ballot for National Chair and two Vice-Chairs (Probation) closed today.

For the position of Chair the following were elected: Yvonne Pattison (North Yorkshire/East Coast) / Chris Winters (Humberside/East Coast), job share. For the positions of Vice-Chair the following were elected: Katie Lomas (West Yorkshire) and Dave Adams (Warwickshire).

Yvonne/Chris and Katie and Dave have been elected for a two year term which runs from Napo AGM in October 2014 to AGM October 2016.

The election of Yvonne as Co-Chair creates an additional Vice-Chair position for the remainder of the term for this post from Napo AGM in October 2014 to AGM October 2015.  The Officers will be considering the position and making a recommendation to the September NEC meeting.

NEC Black Representatives 2014-16

For the position of NEC Black Representatives the following were elected: Ikki Bhogal (West Yorkshire) and Maureen Vernon (Staffordshire West Midlands).

At this year’s SGM, the Constitution was amended with the effect of extending the terms of office for black representatives from one to two years. Ikki and Maureen have therefore been elected for a two year term which runs from Napo AGM in October 2014 to AGM October 2016.

The full Officers Group for 2014/2015, with effect from AGM 2014, will be as follows:

Co-Chair (job share): Yvonne Pattison, PO, East Coast (formerly North Yorkshire) / Chris Winters, PO, East Coast (formerly Humberside)
Treasurer:   Keith Stokeld, PO, Durham Tees Valley
Vice Chair (Probation): Katie Lomas, PO, West Yorkshire
Vice Chair (Probation):  Dave Adams, PSO, Warwickshire
Vice Chair (Probation): To be determined
Vice Chair (Cafcass): Vacant
