Unions and senior management have agreed that further high level dialogue  will be necessary to try and make progress on this project.

The statement  explains that the first stage of this discussion which we hope will lay the foundations for a transition agreement, is underway.

Napo is committed to the need for further consultation with our members working in Programmes and Interventions as the negotiations progress, and more news will follow once the initial scoping of such an agreement has been finalised.

Carole Doherty (cdoherty@napo.org.uk) and Tania Bassett (tbassett@napo.org.uk) will be Napo’s representatives in the discussions.

Update to staff on the Interventions Restructure

As you will know from previous communications, HMPPS and Trade Unions (Napo, Unison and GMB Scoop) have been engaging for a number of months on the restructure of Interventions teams as part of the Probation Target Operating Model. Following formal consultation and further constructive engagement we are now moving into a phase of working towards a transition agreement for affected staff. Both HMPPS and Trade Unions are entering into this ‘without prejudice’ dialogue in good faith and with the best possible outcomes for staff at the heart of our discussions. We expect the first phase of this dialogue to conclude by mid-September and will share further communications with you at this stage.
