Hope every member who was able to attend AGM in person or online enjoyed it. We also hope everyone got home safe and sound due to Storm Babet when in person at Nottingham. We made every effort for members to be able to get lifts to stations or closest to home to do so.

A fuller mail-out regarding sessions at AGM will go out over next week(s) as we are currently still writing up various reports on speakers and sessions.

If you attended, either online or in person, a survey has just gone out to you last Friday. Please do take some time to respond to this, it will only take 10 minutes tops.

Your feedback really matters and is very valued to us to take any answers into account going forward again for organising our next AGM and how we can improve on the experience.

Unfortunately, as we reported at AGM, St. David’s Hall in Cardiff, where we were due to be in 2024, is now closed because of the Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) findings; we only found out on the Friday at AGM. We are very saddened at this news for the venue and the wonderful staff we have been working with every time we have been there, who now face an uncertain future also, but we hope to return at a date suitable. We had explored various other venues in Wales before, but St. David’s is the best for all our needs. They will keep us informed.

We are now looking into alternative options anew (the NEC will be kept informed of progress by the AGM Organising Team) but please members, keep these dates in your diary for now for:

Thursday 10 to Saturday 12 October 2024

Thursday 17 to Saturday 19 October 2024

We will keep you all updated on this as soon as there is progress to report.
