Tuesday 16th April 10.00am to 11.30am

Ranjit Singh, Assistant General Secretary, and Annoesjka Valent, National Official – TUO, will be launching some ‘Repping Reps’ sessions together with other national Link Officers and Officials.

This is for members who have undertaken a Reps’ Course and are accredited to represent members in formal procedures on behalf of Napo but might want to brush up on policies, timelines and what to pay particular attention to when involved in case work.

Please NOTE: this is not to discuss individual cases

It is also for members who are interested in taking up individual representation or to gain more knowledge around main procedures such as absence management, conduct & discipline, performance, and grievance, to name a few of the main ones.

Copy the date (Tuesday 16 April 10am to 11.30am) and joining links in your work diary:

If you’re interested in becoming active in your branch and help other members going through any work-related issues, especially formal procedures at work, you can do this by registering for a course, either via the GFTU or the TUC, in order to get accreditation to be able to undertake this work. Time off for this training is to be allowed. You can find courses here at:

Find a reps course for you | TUC

The TUC update their website regularly, keep an eye out if you have just missed a deadline for registration.

Learning Opportunities – GFTU

Here you will not only find accreditation courses, but also a range of interesting other online seminars. The GFTU will be updating their 2024-2025 education programme in July in run up to the Durham Miners’ Festival.

Joint Reps courses (pooled with Society of Radiographers union)

As we have previously done, there will be some extra courses coming up jointly organised with the Society of Radiographers, including the potential for an online Diploma in Employment Law. As soon as all the details for these courses are finalised, we will circulate them also.

If you have any queries about any of this, contact Annoesjka at avalent@napo.org.uk
